Said this in the E=NG thread, Lavoie is arbitration eligible. Bank there is a side deal to go to arbitration so it opens another buyout window for Kane. They will buyout Kane, give away Ceci which will free up almost $8.5MM in cap. They will sign Broberg and Holloway, bring back Desharnais and still have money to bring in a veteran dman while keeping $1Mm tagged for a mid season Carter Hart signing…… by non-other than Stan Bowman.

You're the one saying they don't need to trade anyone, and that they can just sign Broberg and Holloway.
Even if Stecher signed for league minimum, that leaves them less than one league minimum salary in cap space.
Holloway was making 925k, Broberg 863k, and I can't see either of them taking a pay cut. To re-sign them both, they would need to get rid of two other cheap bodies (say, Brown and Brown). That puts them right back in the same position – capped out with a 21-man roster. Only now they would have two guys making a million each to play in the AHL.

OK, Capfriendly still has him on the team, so that's the problem then. But it doesn't help because then they're down to a 20 man roster and Carrick cost less than a mil.
So they're actually worse off as a result - to get to a full roster they have to add Broberg, Holloway and a third player, and that assumes they don't subtract anyone.
EDIT: Oh, it was Connor Carrick. Weird.

Connor Carrick is listed as a non-roster player anyway, so he doesn't count in their numbers.
With Stecher re-signed, even at league minimum, they can't add a 22nd man without going over the cap. Moves will have to happen.

Desharnais is a Canuck.

Nothing is wrong with me. I read the thread in the order posted, and you were the one saying the Oilers didn't need to trade anybody and they could sign Holloway and Broberg.

Oh Oilers. Did they hire Benning? We have one Brown, let's make it two Browns. We have one Skinner, lets make it two Skinners. We had a Carrick, but he left to NY so we better sign a new Carrick.

... Where did he say that
He said they have 1.33M to sign Holloway and Broberg.
That doesn't mean they CAN do it for that amount. In fact, they literally can't; NHL minimum salary is 750k.
And they'd still only have 22 guys.

Ya, I said $1.33m. You said you calculated $558k. I said not ($558k) according to capfriendly (that says $1.33m).
Simple stuff.
