It just takes one GM to make an offer to determine your worth. To me, Brodie was caught standing in a bad position a ton of times. Toronto fans and media were soft on him. He was utterly terrible at times. He can still skate but just looked like he wasn’t paying attention a lot. I think don’t think he deserves this type of contract but good his agent negotiated. Sometimes there is pressures on GM’s and this could be one of those times to fill out the roster. That’s a steep price.

He had close to 22 minutes per game last year, 2nd on the Leafs dmen.

So, he couldn't have been that bad?

He seems like a guy at his age who would benefit from some decreased usage.

Put in on the 4th line with a rookie, and he'll be fine I expect.

We'll see, but the second half, hyperbole aside, he lost his confidence and just watched as guys walked around him. It was baffling.
