Start cheering for them when the team is absolute dog####. Then nobody can question your loyalty or being a bandwagoner.

For example, becoming a Flames fan right now would create instant credibility.

I think it’s simple

If the jersey have red and also yellow or gold, you’re safe
(I think … suppose Ottawa may have a touch of gold too)

Main thing is to avoid them mixed together (orange) - that’s a non starter

I agree he’s worth a lot more. But, someone signing you for 2 years, get some tax savings, spend your next two years in Florida and piggyback off the Cup popularity.

I'm assuming he didn't wanna be in calgary because he is much better than Lomberg for less than half the price.

I disagree that he's better than Lomberg, let alone much better. You're assumption is null and void.

Oh come greer just had almost as many goals as lomberg had points in the regular season in way less games while Lomberg was a healthy scratch for most of the playoffs.

They play similiar roles while Greer is better offensively. I would take Greer over lomberg any time and guarantee you'll love him next year.

Greer put up 52 points in 53 games 3 seasons ago in the AHL. You could tell he definitely has some offensive skills, could command some shifts, and worked his butt off each shift and wasn't afraid of anyone.

Lomberg doesn't have that offensive touch at all, and more pest like.

Similar energy between them.

Good luck to Greer. Most guys would've had that injury last season and shut it down, he came back. Florida got a decent player at a very good price.

Greer was a waiver claim, never had any choice about being here. Maybe he just didn't want to re-sign in Calgary.

Try not to have any credibility to begin with.

Greer seemed like he was very interested in resigning in Calgary, especially later in the season when he was on the mend from being injured.

Wish him the best as he was a nice waiver claim and before Greer was hurt, he added value to the lineup.

Some guys take a discount to sign to a contender hoping to cash in on their next contract, I think that's what we are seeing here. I like both Greer and Lomberg, I think the offensive side is a wash.

Waivers can sometimes be the end of careers. Greer was able to make it work and got a 2 year contract in a low tax state.

Good luck to him!
