Really like this kid, reminds me of a Koehn Ziemmer/ Ryan Leonard type in that he's a 6'0", 200lb power forward.
hockeydb lists him at 6'1", even better.

Seems that at this point in the draft you can likely say that about every pick. "Could have taken him next round".

FC is the outlier, he was on everyone else's list around where he went.

Sportsnet doesn't give an actual #### what the Flames do. They gotta be pimping their team, the Oilaz. Sportsnet - all Oilers all the time.

OK, Craig. I like it. Wanted Kivi, but I'm good with this. Very nice first two rounds. Very nice indeed.

You almost question why they bother telecasting the second day. Not much point when they've nothing to contribute. Gotta sell those sports betting ads somehow I guess.

Staring to look like Kivi might be available at 74 anyway...

I honestly couldn't tell you. Probably not? But then again, I'm not sure televising it adds much for the end user beyond what we see here on forums in terms of picks being made, sharing some analysis on our picks, breaking trades.
Maybe we're just spoiled here? But enjoying morning coffee and getting some chores done around the house while checking in here to learn who the Flames selected, I don't feel like I'm missing anything compared to watching it.

He looks pretty big with soft hands - I like! Might have to call him the Italian Stallion!

This kid is best buds with my youngest cousin. I coached him and the 21st pick yesterday (Michael Hage), in summer soccer, in like 2015.
Jacob was a great kid back then, super coachable and very enthusiastic. Long time ago but pretty cool to see him get drafted by the Flames.
