Would be shocked if they moved Kadri and if they do might as well cash in on Weegar as well. With that said Conroy’s comments on the 7 year deals that are untradeable the moment they are signed and he could see an out with Kadri who has been pretty much full marks on his deal through 2 years.

Kadri doesn’t want a rebuild so I could see him being open to moving for select spots but he is a solid vet to have around.

I could somehow see him being part of a massive multi team deal with the Leafs and Marner.

Maybe back to the Avs for their First+? Avs fans really want him back.

Good player but clearing out that deal for an asset is a win... no matter how decent he was last year, in 2 or 3 years his deal has negative value.

If they could get a decent asset for him and undo more of the damage Treliving did would be fantastic big picture IMO. The decks are almost completely clear then other than Huberdeau and Weegar

The barn burner guys were big on the Flames taking on Skinner yesterday if he'd waive to come here, you'd definitely think they could get the Sabres first for flipping these two.

If you can get solid value for Kadri, I don’t see why they wouldn’t explore it. His contract won’t be good soon enough. Cashing in while he has value is always a good thing. Kadri may have settled in here but if it’s a compelling city why not bring it to him?

No retention, no need for it. There will be a market for Kadri without retention.’

There's a difference between listening to teams when they're calling asking about a player and actively shopping a player. I'm inclined to believe this is the former until we get more information that it's the Flames initiating the conversations. And I have a hard time believing he wants to waive his NMC like Diss said, unless something's changed recently.

But... if a team is willing to pay up for him then I'm all for it (even though I think his mentorship to the younger players would be super valuable and a good reason to keep him around longer).

Last night on TSN, Craig Button suggested that Kadri is exactly what Toronto needs and acquiring him should be Treliving's primary focus ahead of trying to re-sign Bertuzzi and Domi.

I'm sure he'd waive to go back home.

Dreger has reported before that Kadri has no interest in a rebuild. I know who I believe.

Some posters are just silly with their hatred of real insiders.

Pagnotta has 120k followers on Twitter but some anonymous CPers are more connected than him?

While I still think this is unlikely, I do think this is the right thing to do and I will be hoping for it.

I’m good with Weegar’s deal and him being around for awhile. Huberdeau is a mess. Would be nice to take on a shorter term bad contract for his one if a team were willing to. Realistically we’re stuck with him.

Maybe Tavares had some Joe Nieuwendyk pyjamas and will waive his NMC to come to the Flames to clear up space for the Leafs to grab Kadri LOL

Take advantage of Brad’s bad contracts

Kadri for Kämpf, 2026 1st and 2026 3rd.

Back to Toronto make too much sense not to happen

Will be funny if they get more the Kadri then they gave up to dump Monahan in the long run

If the Leafs do want him back, my ask would start with Toronto's 2025 first.

Give up Florida's 2025 to dump Monahan to sign Kadri, then acquire Toronto's 2025 first to move Kadri. That would be a good swap considering Florida's pick could be 30+ again and Toronto's will never be that high.

.
.
.

Then, fill Kadri's roster spot by signing Monahan as a UFA on Monday.

Kadri to Toronto for their 1st and Reaves. Reaves isn’t good but bring him in purely to protect the young guys

lol at using Twitter followers are a way to prove this guy is any good.

He is like 0% with Flames rumours. This is the same bum who had Kadri to the Islanders as a done deal, the contract was in Lou's drawer just had to be filed.

Brad does not have that pick. He has a 2024 1st, a 2026 1st and a 2026 3rd over the next 3 drafts. He hates picks so I say the 2026 1st and 2026 3rd should be included.

This was because button suggested that ftoronto should be calling about kadri. It was an opinion piece. H he seemed pretty dedicated on staying. Granted I think he might change his mind next summer or deadline when he sees how bad the flames are next season.

Fine with Reaves too. There are a number of bad Brad contracts that Brad has to get out of.
