Yeah you have been calling this for a while. While he's been a perennial top goaltender, he's 29 years old and undersized so you worry about the slightest regression snowballing. They must not be as high on Askarov as clearly he's going to want an opportunity to start a few years into this extension. That said he's going to be a valuable asset as there's always going to be goaltender needy teams.

Preds have lots of cap space. They’ll be big players in free agency. They’re going for it with the core of Saros, Josi, and Forsberg.
