Heaven and Hell (the reunited Ronnie Dio version of Black Sabbath) came through Calgary in 2008. I'd just started a new job and figured I shouldn't ask for time off so soon. Dio was dead two years later. Still regretting that choice.

Saw that show, pretty sure Megadeth opened back when they were still good. Saw Dio twice in the Corral, once Yngwie opened for him. Couldn't remember who opened the second time, looked it up, it was Aerosmith? Surprised I didn't remember that but they really sucked then.

Lots of shows I wished I'd seen, too many to list really.

Missed Zooropa but have been to pretty much every tour since, including of course Elevation at the Dome.

Most recently Vegas Sphere.

Easy. Missed seeing Phil Collins live. I think he was in Canada in 2018. My wife even offered to try to make it happen and I declined because it just wasnt in the budget at the time. Will regret that one forever. |

I remember when I was at Queen's a buddy of mine told me to check out some new band from Montreal called Arcade Fire playing at some little bar on Princess Street in Kingston. He said they were going to be big, and I was like "c'mon, people say that about every new band". I think I've seen them four times since, but that would have been a cool one to catch at that time.
I think my older brother takes the cake though. He had a chance to go with some buddies to see Michael Jackson's Thriller tour on Halloween night in Seattle in 1981 or 82 and my mom wouldn't let him go.

My favorite band in Highschool were the Screaming Trees. Had tix, was pumped, then they cancelled for some dumb reason. STP, had tix, was pumped, cancelled. Crappy luck. They couldn't have one less drug fuelled binge? Boo

How have we gotten this far without mention of Tom Petty?
Tom Petty is the reason I've started travelling for concerts. You never know.

On the other side of the coin, I'm so happy I got to see Oasis just before they imploded.
