As I said in the OOT...Clean shoulder as Bedard was leaning in. Bad luck that the height difference made the point of contact right on the button. Agree that it was just a hockey play.

Always reminds me of this. After Wayne does a dirty slew foot at 42 second mark, later in the game gets hammered clean
If that happened today to McDavid, Michaels and Debrusk would leave the booth to hit the ice along with mouth breathing fans...back then, nothing from any Oiler on the ice.
This is one of the best pulls I’ve seen in a long time browna.
I know, I know, we should defer to the best player in the world when he’s involved in something he doesn’t like, but it seems that even Wayne would agree that the hit was deserved after trying to do Boshman dirty. He’s certainly silent about it at the time….
And Lowe going from first tier level of fans to second tier level of fans, and then back to first tier, in half of second makes me think that I know a little bit about winning.

And he won’t be back when the hawks are in Calgary. As someone with tickets, damn
Yeah my 12 year old was obsessed with going to this game so we bought good second level tickets for them as a Christmas present. We go to maybe one game a year so this sucks. Good luck trying to sell tickets to flames vs the terrible hawks that are riddled with injuries. The WHL game he was at was sold out, so needed to get tickets asap.
I agree it was an unfortunate clean hit, but a selfish part of me hopes Smith gets destroyed at some point. Just cause.
