The Penguins win their 2nd game in a row over the Islanders, this time 3-1. Goaltending was the big factor as Nedeljkovic made 37 saves in the win. The Penguins also fired 38 shots at Sororkin. Both teams were perfect on the PK.

The Sharks only had 11 shots on net for the whole game which made an easy night for Georgiev. He made ten saves in the 3-1 Avs win. Kahkonen kept the score close as he made 30 saves.

The Habs scored twice in the 2nd period to lead 2-0, but, could not hang on as the Lightning did strike back with 4 straight goals to win 4-3 in reg time. Kucherov had 2 points.

Yup. And with all the help from the refs and scheduling breaks they get...they are STILL so bad that they aren't even in a Wild Card spot right now and it's looking pretty grim (thankfully!) that they won't be.

Imagine the mess if they didn't get that help. Then consider that this season and maybe next is their last before they plunge back into utter darkness, when Pissy and McAvi are gone.

Montreal scored a strange goal against Tampa last night.

Tampa was dumb not playing until the whistle, but I don't see why it wasn't blown down in that situation. If Tampa started hacking away at it, you know Montreal would have complained that the whistle wasn't blown.

I think I’ve seen that once before. It’s rare.
