Always a big if.

I'd love a winning streak. I feel like we haven't had a lengthy one since gaudreau and Tkachuk were here. This team just can't sustain the effort and execution for more than a game or two. That's why they're in the bottom third. Also their "best players" too often look pedestrian.

If Wolf's in then 2-1 with a Zary goal and 40 shots against would be ideal.

On FlamesTV, Parker says Vladar.

Bummer

I wish they would treat this as a development year and maximize ice time for the kids. I know it's too early to pack it in, but jeez.

Booo. With markstrom nearing return you need to fit in as many wolf starts as you can.

It's not as though Vladar is this old vet. He's 26, and only started in 56 NHL games so far.

Even if they did treat it like a "development year," they can't just play the kids. Vladar also needs to play games.

Nonsense. There is no urgency here.

Is my memory failing me or have the Flames historically had listless games versus the Wild?

I disagree. I'm not tuning in this year to watch a stop gap goalie we're trying to trade get the bulk of starts while markstrom is down. Boo that!

May vladar be lit up like a Christmas tree so we can watch the guy we want to watch. In a year where we're teetering on a rebuild and where playoffs/winning hockey is no longer in the cards, this is the only reason to care at all.

There's no drop off from Vladar to Wolf already so there should be no fear in transitioning to the kid who is obviously done with the AHL.

Youth is the way.

Haha, maybe you want to forget. Last game was a week ago and Flames were definitely listless.

Yeah, me too. Watching a bunch of guys that are not in the long term future plans slowly succumbing to this quagmire is no fun. Vladar is no fun - he is not a game stealer. Has he done it even once in his 50 starts?

I want to watch a bunch of fast creative kids that haven't learned what impossible means, play exciting hockey. Who cares if they win or lose if they entertain?

We're entering an Oilers level bad era of futility. So let's at least make it fun to watch.

Credit where due, Vladar did have an elite game against Vegas in front of his mom. Beyond that, he's generally been level with a lacklustre markstrom or a step below him in terms of execution.

You really should be hoping he has a good game so other teams gain interest and make an offer to Conroy he's happy with so Wolf can take his place.

Another scratch for Solo. Not good. I'd imagine he gets sent down once they get back.
