Of course they get a late powerplay. Of course. Such an embarrassment to the sport

Hilarious. Greasers get a late PP and score. 2 - 1 for the cheaters.

Thanks Jets. The hype train was already out of control for the "surging" Oilers. This is going to be insufferable.

Lol. All the talk after the Oilers loss to the Knights was a missed holding the stick call on McDiver.

This game two holding the stick calls for McDiver. This stuff writes itself.

Anyone who thinks the league isn't trying to help out the Oilers, is delusional.

Airplanes, you bring shame to this family.

Officials need to stop feeding those shams late PPs every god damn game.

Was it A LEgit penalty to give the Oilers the late powerplay or just more NHL welfare for the Oilers?

The one time they call a holding the stick penalty, its McDavid's stick thats held.

You don't have to watch the play to know the answer.

I didn't have sound where I was watching.

That's a tough call to make on what should have been an icing. You could see that Hughes totally let up before Hathaway hit him.

Torts was right to be pissed.

I ended up in a pub with my wife in time to catch the third period of the EDM/WPG game.

At the start, I told her "Oh, it's 1-0 Jets. You watch, if nothing else, the Oilers will get a powerplay with around 2-4 minutes left in the game."

When the Oilers tied it up, she asked if that'd still happen.

I told her that it would, since it's only a tie, and they need to help the Oilers win.

Sure enough, late PP on a questionable call leading to a goal.

This is so predictable it's pathetic.

The Capitals win another one goal game,
5-4 in regulation time. No goals for Ovechkin, but, he did get two assists.

Sorry, got busy last night...Ref totally blew the icing call, no doubt there. But Hathaway hits him parallel to the boards and not into them. Hughes momentum takes him into the boards. I don't think there should have even been a penalty.

I felt he hit ice first then boards and hit the ice "harder" than he hit the boards. Didn't think it was boarding and definitely wasn't charging.

Sucks to get the boot because a liney screwed up

The Hurricanes outplayed and out shot the Islanders 43-16, but, Kochetkov was awful in net for Carolina as the Isles won 5-4 in OT. Varlomov made 39 saves and was the reason the Isles were able to win along with his team going 3/3 on the PK.

Same thing happened with the Sabres as they out shot the Blues 43-20, but, Luukkonen was bad in net for Buffalo as the Blues won 6-4. Binnington also made 39 saves in the win.

The Wild's new coach, John Hynes was motivated in his first game behind the bench against his old team. The Wild smashed the Predators 6-1. The Wild were 4/4 on the PK and Connor Dewar had a hat trick.

Swayman makes 26 saves for the SHUTOUT in the Bruins 5-0 win over the Sharks. The Bruins were also perfect on the PK, going 5/5.
