Gibson would be an auto-win.

I hope it’s inconclusive and that the oilers lose by one. Monster truck and the fan base will be so sour.

Trying so hard to give the Oilers a goal.

If it were any other team but Toronto there's no way they take that long took look at a play with no angles like that. They did it because Ekholm pointed and celebrated.

I see defense is optional for the Ducks.

None of the replays of that supposed goal show any indication that it crossed the line. If anything, it looks like it probably didn't.

If that was the Flames, I doubt there would have had a league initiated review.

Ha. What a disaster.

Glad that the greatest team in the history of sports is back. We're all so lucky to witness such greatness.

I’m happy because this steers them away from Celebrini.

Stomping anaheim isn’t special. They still lose to playoff-caliber teams.

You know, it is one thing for fans to laugh at the opposing goalie. It is another thing for the analyst to giggle at their struggles. Show some class, Louie. Did you laugh at Campbell or Skinner? No. Then STFU.

Stanley Cup parade is clearly back on in the minds of Oiler fans and media.

Shocking, the Oilers needed powerplays in the third to run up the score.

If Anaheim's coach doesn't have a brainfart and starts Gibson or atleast pulls Dostál early that game is alot closer. It was clear he didn't have it tonight but he stuck with him until it was too late.

Default November 26 with five games.

So far this season the Oilers only have wins against 2 playoff teams from last year:

SEA - 3W (currently clinging to WC2)
NYI - 1W (not currently in playoff picture)

But they are 0-6-1 vs. the remaining playoff teams from last year:

WPG - OTL
*MIN - L
NYR - L
DAL - L
TB - L
FLA - L
CAR - L

*only team on list currently outside the playoffs.

They are also only 3-6 vs. teams who missed the playoffs last year:

VAN - L x3
NAS - W / L
PHI - L
CGY - W
SJ - L
WAS - W

They have had a pretty soft schedule to start the year and still sit 4th from the bottom in the west. Just wait until their schedule gets tougher.

TLDR: Oilers still suck.

The Oilers have only played the Flames once this year.

Great comeback by the Hurricanes in crazy 3rd period. It was 0-0 going into the 3rd period and the BJs scored 13 seconds in make it 2-0 a bit later. The Hurricanes respond with 3 goals in 8 minutes. The tying and winning goals were 74 seconds apart. Merzlikins made 40 saves in the loss. There were only 2 penalties all game, both of them on the BJs, and BJs killed them off.

The Predators had a 3-0 lead heading into the 3rd period and then the Jets scored 2 goals in 42 seconds halfway through the period. They couldn't get the tying goal. Josi had 3 points in the win (1g, 2a).

The Red Wings rolled past the Wild. Minnesota put in a good effort and had 38 shots. Gostisbehere gets 4 points (1g, 3a) and Perron with 2 goals.
