I like the next generation too where I am the old man!

My son at age 20 at game 7 of the Dallas series is something we'll never forget.

Based on those stats the Flames should get destroyed, so Flames win 4-3

Another win, Lindholm with a hattrick all goals assisted by Hannifin. Markstrom lets in only 1 goal. Flames sell high on all of them tomorrow morning.

Yeah, it's been 'our thing' for around 12 years now. We always pick 2-4 games a season, and have a good day together.

With things over the last few years, we've modified it a bit. I'd go over to his place bringing the beer, and he'd cook up some wings. It just isn't quite the same as live, though.

I was really excited to hear that he's feeling well enough this season for us to go to the 'Dome again.

But they've banked the points early so they don't need to sustain.
And that's just at 5 on 5.. At all strengths it gets even more unsustainable.

1st in shooting percentage by a significant margin at 14.61%
1st in high danger save percentage at 89.36%

The top shooting percentage as a team last year was Edmonton at 11.80%
The top high danger save percentage last year as a team was Boston at 85.96%

We are going to start to see a correction at some point - hopefully it begins tonight.

It's why I'd love for them to pry some picks out of Vancouver now...

I pretty much always prefer the Flames to win but they are kinda painful to watch so, well, whatever
Don't forget Luongo. One of the biggest pieces of kyit to ever play in the NHL. and some people give him a pass because he was funny on twitter...

Does anyone park at the Platform on 9th for the game? Last time I parked there I had to walk all the back to my truck because the elevators were locked after the game.

That's mostly due to the first few games of the year where they got to play a terrible Oilers team twice. After the 5 game mark, they're shooting 10.9% at ES and are 52-53% in xGF%, SCF%, shot differential, etc.

And even on the season as a whole, if you gave them a league average shooting percentage, they'd still have the 4th best goal differential in the league.

Even if you exclude the first five games of the year they have still led the league in shooting percentage and high danger save percentages over the past 10 games in all situations.

They have simply run extremely hot all year and it's not going to last forever. The good news for them however is that they have built up a very comfortable margin in the standings so even when they go on an inevitable slide, it shouldn't be to costly for them.

I hope Big Z and Tanev dually destroy Vancouver tonight, so Canucks management gets all hot and bothered over acquiring one or both of them and then severely overpay in a trade.

Thanks for this.

My son, 18, suggested that we should go to a game this year. Being from Lethbridge and the cost of games, gas and how well the Flames are doing I said "Maybe, we'll see". Which apparently is my way of saying "Not bloody likely".

I think I'm going to look for a game that the two of us can go to now.

The Canucks would crush the modern era record for team shooting percentage and goals scored if they kept up at this pace.. but sure, it must be the roster construction.

Most purely talented team assembled in the past 30 years.
