Problem is there's no context to that title by itself.

Contenders in 32nd is way better for a title.

Was “Hey Connor, it’s a Mess” ever a thread title?

Or are we waiting for them to bring him back?

“Great Observation, Thanks” actually fits in with the title perfectly, as it’s an Oilers player suggesting the obviousness of the statement (which in this case is “Edmonton is No Good”).

Contenders in 32nd has no flavour, no poetry to it.

If that’s the direction you want to go with the title (referencing the fall from supposed contenders to the basement), “Cup Lock to Knoblauch” is as good as it gets and should probably be the title anyway.

We're going to have a great finale, that's for sure. Great observation + sweatpants & tiers are looking strong!

I suppose. But creatively it's low hanging fruit also imo.

Cup Lock to Knoblauch is my vote since it's the right blend of clever wordplay and relevance to the current season of No Good.

The All-Consuming Pursuit of the Next Solution is too perfect. The entire McDrai era has been constantly trying to find the next solution. Coaching hires, UFA signings, even a GM change.

Nothing works. Nothing can save the Oilers. They will constantly be looking for the next solution.

Bonus, it was a quote from a coach that was just replaced as part of the all-consuming pursuit of the next solution. Poetry.

Did the classic "Debacle of monumental proportions" ever get used?

Sadly, no. MacTavish's "debacle" quote was uttered in the days before E=NG.

True, true.

I was referring to the silent years on CP between 2005–2013, before the epic necro-bump of the first E=NG thread.
