That Zadorov tidbit is tough. Depends how much he wants, but I really like what he brings, he seems like a great young man, and it's really nice to have people who want to be here specifically.

It’s mostly because he’s not that good at playing hockey.

There is some value to how players are off-ice but at the end of the day if you’re not helping the team on the ice you shouldn’t be a huge part of the future plans.

Agreed, this regime seems much more willing to call some kids up, which has made the product on the ice much more entertaining and led to 2 wins in the last 2 .

I'm guessing there's a significant difference in how he sees his value and role vs what the flames think his value and role should be.

Sure he might want to stay here, but if he thinks he's a $6/year 2/3 kind of guy, and the flames really only see him as a $4.3/year 4/5 kind of guy, I get why they're shopping him around.

I love what Zadorov brings, but I would love him a lot less if he's making much more than his current contract.

No. Sharangovich is Conroy player, and Greer is a Conroy player.

The rest of this roster is Treliving's. Conroy did shift to a younger coach, who is using younger players - but those younger players were drafted by Treliving.

If you think this is "Conroy's roster", that's fine - but he only acquired 2 of the players on tonight's roster and that's generally what we talk about when we're talking about a GM "making his mark" on the roster.
