What a way to start a period! The Jets scored a pair of goals in the first minute of the second period.
The Original Six game has the Bruins up 2-0 after forty minutes. Can the Bruins hang on to this lead?
The Islanders are up 1-0 heading into the third period. Palmeri has the lone goal.

Also, Leafs and Preds tied 2-2 headed into the 3rd.

True/lame story - many years ago I went to a Chicago/Montreal game in Montreal, with a buddy who was a Chicago fan. He had a Chicago jersey, but no issues. But I couldn't figure out why everyone around us was cheering for Donald Audette, who by then was a middling player.
He scored, and everyone around us went nuts, and then the girls that danced in the aisles started handing out free beers, and she explained we were in Audette's section, so whenever he scored, everyone in the section got a free beer.
Well, I'm no Habs fan, and neither was my buddy, but we started cheering for Audette, too.

Laferriere has the Kings up 1-0 after twenty minutes.

It is Miller time with the deflection to tie the game at 1-1 on the power play. The Canucks go right back to the power play in this toght checking game.

What a turn of events in Vancouver.
The Rangers get a four minute power play and the Canucks score a shorthanded goal from Myers. The Canucks get busted for too many men during the penalty kill. The Rangers score to tie ir on the two man advantage.
They score another power play goal in Zibanejadian fashion to take the lead.
