I would guess Vanecek for sure, they're right against the cap like most teams. Add maybe someone like Colin Miller as a cap dump and then you could get a first round pick?

This. Sure the team could use his finishing ability but another 30+ year old on a long term deal is the last thing this team needs. Glad he's doing well so far for the Devils

And he still doesn't have a contact for next season...not Tofolli specifically but guys do tend to play well in their UFA seasons.

Even if he has a great year do you think he gets term anywhere? The reported six year ask was insulting honestly if true.

For me it seems that scoring is easier in East coast.

Not for the Flames. They have trouble there too! Haha

Final score

That was an awesome game to watch. It is being repeated on TVA Sports 2 more times today and can be watched if one has the subscription to NHL.com.

Ovechkin with 2 points (1g, 1a) while Jack Hughes had 3 assists.

From the links,

“I don’t think it’s really sunk in yet," said Hunter Shepard, who won NCAA championships with Minnesota-Duluth in 2018 and 2019. "I’m excited to get out there and see my parents, pretty emotional day. To have 13 or 14 people make it here on a day’s notice from Minnesota, it’s quite the support system."

Good to see the rookie goalie get the win in his first NHL game.
