Well the first full year back was in the midst of Covid and vaccination not complete.
That season had a shutdown limited capacity and teams battle covid throughout the year so it had an impact.
I wonder if the 2nd time closing it off was just being extra cautious.
Its easier to control the environment knowing exactly what is happening with the people in the building.

Not a single PTO. I like it. Sure there's some players I'd have been cool with coming over to have a look but this is optimal. Let's the kids fight.

My guess is the first big purge will be Sept 26 - which is the day after the split-squad games vs the Kraken on the 25th, and a day after a game on the 24th. So you have 3 games within 24 hours, and will need the bodies.
Then you get down to a smaller group for your last 5 preseason games.

Didn't we have 2 groups the last 2 years the NHL team and the AHL team.
This looks to be more of what happened previously. It obviously worked the 1st time and last year we had nothing.
Guessing they are going to trying Huberdeau and Lindholm again with a rotation or Coronato and Sharangovich?

Rooney is just terrible I don't expect much from him, but I wonder if they try a 4th line of Pelletier, Duehr and one of Schwindt or Zary.
