I immediately checked the Canadiens website, where it's phrased kinda the same. My next stop was CP, and I was surprised nobody posted it yet! I was so excited to be the newsbreaker that I didn't think.

Like I said, I'm an idiot....

Anytime a friend of mine sends me a trade I actually check CP before any other website. I just assume if it's real it will be here and if it's not it won't.

Yeah, there's like four posters on CP that curate info from around the hockey world and social media and will have anything noteworthy posted here within minutes of it happening between the four of them (sureloss/getback/TheScorpion/who else again?).

I always check here first, too, if someone says something is happening.
