Now Sutter is just an innocent hockey player trying to make an honest living. I’m not sure what the guy being a cab driver or how innocent he was has anything to do with it. He punched a random person outside a bar when he was blackout drunk at 23 and paid the price.
The NHL is full of guys who have done a lot worse and shown a lot less remorse than Sutter did for a dumb decision over a decade ago. By all accounts, teammates love him and young guys look up to him, as evidenced by being the captain of most AHL teams he’s been on (including the Wranglers last year).
You don’t even need to cheer for him if you don’t want. How much are you going to watch the Wranglers?
