He was a good trooper for the Flames and I'm happy they could find a spot for him in the organization.

Yeah, he's getting a little long in the tooth, but man...is there a more perfect 7D?

Come on Flames....give the man another year!

Clappers from the Point!!!

Also have to wonder about Stajan or any of the other Hitmen staff getting a nod.

I know its irrational, but Mark Mike Stone is awesome!

He deserves at least a 'Forever a Flame!'

He's been nothing but a great soldier for the Flames.

Edit: Dammit! Too many 'M. Stones.'

Not irrational at all Mark Stone is awesome!

Giving a player who never played for the Flames a Forever a Flame, now that is irrational.

DAMMIT! Mike! I meant Mike!

Damn you Mr. and Mrs. Stone naming your kids Mark and Mike!

I'll never forgive you for this travesty!

Whats your other kid's name? Matt?

It's sad that the classic slapshot is disappearing from the game, and one of the last guys to regularly unleash them is now leaving.

Conroy just retired Stone like Feaster retired Conroy. Except he had the decency to do it in the off season

Congrats to Stone, liked his ability to accept the 7 D role and step in at a moment’s notice

Glad he found a role in the org

Yep, Stajan would be the presumptive choice....

I’m glad he’s staying as a part of the development staff. Calgary is home for him and he’s obviously still passionate about the team. Will miss his clappers from the point. Thanks for everything Stoney

When you’re done explaining a drill to kids and asking if they got it, they know one thing for sure… it’s time to nod.

The Flames roster just keeps getting less likable while those working for the organization off the ice just keep getting more likable.

Could probably journeyman his way around for a few more years if he wanted too. Happy to have him sticking with us.

He prioritized his family over earning more NHL money in a different city the past few years. I can respect that. Glad to hear he is sticking around the organization.
