Is Nylander out the door? How do they sign everyone.

That’s alright for a year. Further I’m thinking the Matthews deal is in Trelivings drawer.

On a 1 yr deal, it is not bad.

Catastrophe defensively seems charitable to his defensive skills.

Muzzin LTIR might be the trick to get two cheap forwards.

Erik Gustafson looks like Rod Langway defensively compared with Klingberg.

The so called experts seem to think it’ll be a 3-4 year deal at about $13.5M allowing him to cash in again in free agency when the cap goes up. This would seem to be a more save face deal that he’s not all about the money. Nylander seems intent on cashing in as high as possible which is why I think there’s a hold up. If they can’t sign Nylander I bet Matthews doesn’t sacrifice pay and takes more.

Klingberg is a one trick pony who is horrific defensively. Unfortunately he is a great PP specialist on a team that has a better PP specialist already on the first unit.

Trade we should be in on is Matt Murray and the Leafs 2024 1st for our 2024 7ths Brad currently has 400K in cap space and needs to sign 4 forwards. This would open up some space for him to get a few vets to fill out the roster.
