I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I'm glad he won't be here next year. Best for him and more importantly the Flames who can plug in some youth.

Without Darryl here he doesn't make sense.

Good soldier for the Flames, no problem with his stint in Calgary at all. Also glad to see the team get younger.

Absolutely. He got unfairly lumped in with the aging vets that Brad loved to bring in and block opportunities with. But ultimately he was perfect in his role, just full out energy and efficiency with the skills that he had to work with. Great player.

I really liked Lewis, he was the definition of a player that gave his all every shift.

There was really nothing about him not to like. He played, he played where he should, his cap and pay were commensurate with his place on the team.

He was a good Flame and a good player, best of luck to him.

I'd have easily kept him at that price.
