This is what happens when you never develop depth from your AHL team. Might be a good signing but the have 11 forwards, $5 mil cap space and Bouchard and McLeod to sign. If the dump Foegele are they really better?
Bjugstad - Foegele - Klostin were decent at times in the playoffs.
They are better off to get the Brown's at the deadline and get them with retained salary.
They aren't even looking at their d?

Wow so much for 1.3… or do bonuses not count against cap?

I guess that makes sense, this year the cap is tight and then next year there will be a lot more room. Damn.

Let’s hope the bonuses are for stuff like GP. Remembering to leave the toilet seat up. Not eating urinal cakes.

How do bonuses work? Let's say he hits all of them, so what happens then to the $3.25 million? Thanks.

If he reaches the bonuses (they are likely set up to be very attainable), it counts against the cap the season after.

This is it for the oilers. Do or die. If he gets those bonuses they will have a big cap penalty and Leon can sign next summer.

I like how it's said it's structured this way because of him coming off knee surgery.
No, it's because the Oilers are basically trying to defer all cap hits until the the end of the year hoping something will magically appear to fix their cap issues. Sort of like "Don't pay until 2028" on buying that crappy couch and dining set at the Brick.

Smart deal for Oilers given their situation. Would have thought Brown could get more term and money in open market so maybe he took less to juice his stats with the big boys, thinking he can do better next off season.
