Reasonable trade return for Lindholm?

That's not a great return. We're talking guys that will play middle of the lineup at best, if they turn out. Depth is important, but we need some prospects with top end potential.

Jarvis is about the top end of a younger player I am expecting for Lindholm.

I thought you were talking about the first trade proposal without the extension in place. Even with Jarvis I think we're taking a step backward.

Doubtful there is a deal for Lindholm that isnt taking the team at least one step backward.

For futures: first from a middling team and a high end (not blue chip) prospect

What the flames will likely do, either:

(1) an NHL player that is a few years younger than lindholm, that is a lower caliber player, and a pick to make up the difference in value (pick depends on the caliber of player:

(2) a 1 to 1 trade for an NHL ready blue chip prospect or RFA that is high potential but hasn't reached it yet.

I predict we hear rumors of a pending trade with Carolina.
Speculation abounds on CP of it being Jarvis or Necas.
Then the details come out and we've moved Lindholm & Vladar for Kotkaniemi, Poolparty's rights and their 1st.

I think we should get a blue chip prospect + 1st for sure.
The 1st may be mid 20th as the other team should be playoff team which is adding for the cup run.
So blue chip prospect must be main return. And I guess he should be future top 4 D.
Then if other team wants to add cap dump or older player then we should ask additional draft picks. Hopefully 2024 or 2025 2nds and 3rds.

I'm guessing the main reason Conny seems to be more inclined to sign Lindholm vs. trade him is that he knows what folks in here are worried about. The return he'll get in trade, is not going to be as valuable as keeping the asset.

I'm guessing if Conny was really excited about the potential return we'd be hearing more about movement vs. the "trying to sign, not in a rush". Theoretically this is likely the best time to trade Lindholm, but if they offers aren't as good as what that "theory" would expect, it's back to trying to sign him or not rushing because maybe the price will go up (or at least not get any worse) in the future as other key deadlines approach.

That sir would push me to not attend a game or buy any merchandise until the owner died or sold the team.
