I wouldn’t change a thing.
It’s just entertainment. Joy and frustration are both part of it

I have a friend who says if he ever has enough money, he'll buy the Flames and run them into the ground as a big F-U to me.
I have a hard time imagining how he could do it better than the Flames have themselves over the last 40 years.

The most important question is whether or not this ‘Time Machine’ has a hot tub.
I’m sure that my head might have turned once or twice, smooched a few different blondes along the way, but I’m confident that all roads led me here.
No change in teams. There are no other options.

I'm born-and-raised Calgarian. My Dad is born-and-raised Calgarian. Thats why I cheer for the Flames. Cheering for another team would mean altering my entire existence. So no.
Go Flames Go, now and forever, 1st place or 32nd.

I became a moderate Flames fan the day they drafted Tom Lysiak. I became a total Flames fan the day they moved to Calgary. I’ve always cheered for Calgary teams and hated Edmonton teams, even while growing up Edmonton’s catchment area. No time machine is changing any of that. It’s not about cheering for championships for me. It’s more of a cultural thing. E=NG. C=MT (My Team)

Yes, 2004 was an awesome ride.
But it's rarity increases how special it was. If it were a more regular occurrence, would have been as special? I don't know, but I think I know this: just enjoy the successes, and let the failures go.

My team has won a cup and been in two finals since I started watching them. Actually won last time but got ripped off. Also it has had some great teams that for one reason or another didn't have post season success. But then again, a lot of teams haven't had that record. Calgary still has more cups and finals than several teams since they came into the league.

It's too late for me most of us die hards, I can't quit following this team even if their play on the ice is discouraging as hell, no more than the rest of you. If you could pull that switch and change your team, would you, if so who?
For this exercise we're looking at the flames organization and management as running a business from an objective perspective. For example, if the NHL were a stock market I doubt the flames stock would be trading well compared to the other teams in the NHL if you took the average value of the stock over the last 30 years. Clown show.

I remember when they came to Calgary. Getting this team made us a big city, or least that's how it felt back then (what were we, 650,000-700,000 inhabitants?).
Seems stupid not to support them living in this city.
Smarter would be to settle in Vancouver circa 1980 after using said time machine and buying lots of real estate and apple stock so that I could buy the Flames in 2023 and finally fix this franchise. LOL

I would gladly have taken a few more great cup runs and playoffs. It for sure would have been better to not be so rare.
