I would totally be on board with this. At worst it would be fun to watch them at least again.

Do we really need two “Sutter bad” threads?

I hope they extend Darryl again to make it 8.5 years and then pan the camera to Huberdeau and Walsh.

Yup. Extend Sutter just to stick it to a player when there’s already stories and rumors of how hard it is to play for Darryl that circulate around the league. That’ll definitely make players want to come to Calgary over the next 8 years….

Stories and rumours? Facts. Most players hate being under Sutter's thumb day to day especially when losing, but many also love playing for him when it comes to personal growth and team results. That should be enough for him.

Eff that guy and his agent if he can't get on board. Players can have success under DS. I'm not a fan of sutter, but i prefer the way Gaudreau took his lumps and worked through it vs Huberdeau if it's true he is sulking.

I hope he isn't sulking. I like Huberdeau and really think he will be successful here once he gets his mojo no matter who the coach is.

you guys think there's already a competitive disadvantage convincing players to come to Calgary, just wait until you have a difficult coach on contract for several years with ownership backing, plus lack of winning or path to improvement. we're making Edmonton seem like paradise right now as an NHL destination.

Gaudreau and Tkachuk left. Sutter had a bit to do with that I expect. Gaudreau was also in the group that got rid of Hartley.

I mean, you couldn't have really wanted to stay in the first place if the coach, who only has a shelf life of 3 years is going to tip the scales on your decision to leave.

How many coaches are Gaudreau and Tkachuk going to have in their 8 year contracts?

I'm kidding about that. More just hoping Huberdeau isn't being subversive.
