Do or die time.

Look in the mirror Flames. You have 4 maybe 5 losses left.

They all are must wins from here on out, but this one stands out more than the previous games.

This is a game where they are the favoured team. If they're gonna be deserving of playoffs, have to beat the teams that are not gonna be in them.

Actually the Flames have been fine against the bottom teams ... it's the next tier up where they've struggled.

13 games against the bottom group with a .615

Philadelphia Flyers
Montreal Canadiens
Arizona Coyotes
Anaheim Ducks
Chicago Blackhawks
San Jose Sharks
Columbus Blue Jackets

11 games against the group above that at .455

Buffalo Sabres
Washington Capitals
Detroit Red Wings
St. Louis Blues
Vancouver Canucks

Row Labels Count of GP Sum of Result
Elite 10 8 0.400
Contenders 11 16 0.727
Pretenders 13 13 0.500
Bubble 7 8 0.571
Dead Space 11 10 0.455
Bedard 13 16 0.615

Yeah 12.5

If the Jets have trouble on this road trip that could slide.

But if you want to somewhat have control of this they need 96 points.

Win all the Bedards and .500 against the rest. In a perfect world.

Excuse me for having high expectations but a 61% win rate against the worst teams in the NHL doesn’t seem that great to me. That should be a little higher, chugging closer to about the 0.700 mark, minimum. Also, if it was, they’d be in a playoff spot.

I doubt it takes 96, but if it does, the Flames are done. I wouldn't be surprised if it only takes 93-94

WPG: 7-7-3, 92 pts
NSH: 10-7-3, 92 pts

10-5-2 gets the Flames to 93.

With each point more than the 17 above that the Jets get, the Flames' chances go down incrementally.

No argument from me.

Just saying the face plant was against the tier above it.

I just hope they get it even with Winnipeg soon. Then it's no longer projections but team X vs team Y

Now that Markstrom is playing well, hoping for a 8-1 win.

Also adds pressure to the Jets, putting them in the same position as the Flames in that regard.

They can probably afford to lose no more than 2/3 games down the stretch realistically. I just want to be entertained

Funny how much a few games changes things. Last week I was looking at draft previews. Today I want the Flames to crush the Ducks. I hope Pelts gets 3 or more points and hugs grumpy Darryl to finish off the night.

The Flames can get to 96 points a few ways. 12-4-1, 11-3-3, 10-2-5 or 8-0-9.

8-0-9 and would inflict maximum pain. 7-0-9 going into the last game lol

They didn't score in last game. Tank command still active. That man Bradley didn't trade Toffoli at trade deadline. We would have less points and an extra 1st for the draft.
