Shane O'Brien was a mediocre NHL'er. He had the type of personality and game that he couldn't pick and choose where he wanted to be, so he should be grateful Calgary was willing to give him NHL money at any point of his average career. He wasn't wronged by the city or franchise, but it fits his personality to talk negatively about a city that basically gave him his final opportunity at the age of 30 to play in the league. An opportunity he clearly didn't take advantage.
