Hey, maybe both parties can co-conspire to set up a Richards situation in Huby's trunk.

Montreal will give him a similar retirement contract I am sure

It also sucks the joy out of watching them too.

Wonder if the player wanted these comments to go public or not. If I was in his shoes and my agent did that without informing me I would be pretty pissed as you know his life will be miserable with this head coach. Also, Tre is kind of a no bs kind of guy when agents start extending their grip on his team. I remember with the Bennett situation he said something along the lines of “I decide when a players stops playing here and not their agent.”

Some good storylines going into the weekend though.

Or will Tre and Sutter just ignore it leaving the media and fans to speculate further. I'm guessing Huby and Sutter don't get along and Walsh is pushing to get Sutter fired.

Sorry Huberdeau thought he'd come in and have Sutter adjust to him rather than the other way around when one of them is a sure-fire HoF'er with multiple rings that came out of retirement because he unnecessarily felt he owed something to the city of Calgary (the area he calls home & that his family gives so, so much too and cares so much for) while the other talked the talk all summer, came into the season fresh off a brand new contract that grants him & his family generational wealth, with zero ties to the city, and then can't walk the walk so he whines to his agent to try and make the only person who's been loyal to this city and fanbase look like the bad guy?

Yea, I think I know which side I'm on here.

You have to think that tweet makes it to every national sportscast and panel discussion this weekend.

Bullet aimed right at Darryl’s head.

This will be interesting.

Sure Huby can blame Sutter to a point, but he himself needs to look in the mirror and realize he has played like sh** for 95 percent of the year.

There is absolutely no doubt that Huberdeau has made adjustments to his game under Sutter.

You think he's the only one having a bad season?

I’m blocked by Walsh, but I’d definitely retort with something about the fans feed off of the performance of the players, so maybe try earning your paycheque Huberdough. That contract was a death knell for the Flames. It guaranteed purgatory for the next decade waiting to get out from under it.

He did the same thing with Frolik with Peters.

Huberdeau played 16 minutes while stars like Lucic and Ritchie had 10 minutes.

Goes back to earlier in the season and this coach's inability to match lines and put players in positions to succeed. Sutter is having a very difficult time adjusting to a highly skilled league and a more offensive leaf.

I don't really feel sorry for either party

I also feel like the flames deserve to be called out for their stubbornness for mediocrity and whittling their players down into hollow husks, rather than making it fun and exciting to play here, which it should be.

It's a great hockey town that deserves better

Sutter should be kept in check too. They give him too much reigns, and he goes full "beautiful mind" prehistoric dinosaur like this

It's up to ownership and management to ensure a good culture is being upheld here, and that the product is still exciting for the players and fans

They always give Sutter a bit too much trust and autonomy and eventually he makes himself the villain because of it

I'm just disappointed he didn't include a Photoshop of Sutter burning Huberdeau at the stake or something.
This is a step below his Fleury tweet. Pick up your game Walsh

Aside from Huberdeau, Markstrom and Mangiapane (the first two being the biggest issues), I'm not sure who else I'm too disappointed in.

If even one of Huberdeau or Markstrom were just slightly below where they should be, CGY would be comfortably in a playoff spot and this wouldn't even be a conversation.

I can't blame Sutter for Markstrom & Huberdeau getting the talent sucked outta them.

Is it really a secret that Darryl is miserable to be around though - like I don't think his negative attitude is really news.

Even Conroy had said it when he was on Barn Burner. (Here if you haven't seen it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UepQMIpXlA)

That part doesn't feel like the important part of the tweet to me.

The part about trying the same thing over and over is what matters to me. Calling out that the coach just hasn't made any adjustments all season - at least that's how it looks from the outside.

Huberdeau has 100% adjusted him game to Darryl Sutter hockey.

If anything I'd say he's almost adjusted too much. Hasn't cheated to try to make an offensive play all season.

Has some of the best defensive metrics on the team.

Lots of reasons to be dissapointed in Huberdeau but him not adjusting and trying to play Sutter's game is not one of them.
