I disagree. I stated my observations and then was piled on by the PC police. But whatever. Anyone who wishes to find out first hand may deal with Mexican immigration and their government any time they like. You'll quickly understand there is a massive difference and why there is never ending flood of people crossing the border in one direction.

They said so in so many words. IIRC the response was "the overwhelming number of applications from Asia has slowed down the processing of paperwork from other countries as we shift people to deal with increased workload" or something to that effect. It was our MP's office that told us the Hong Kong applications were processing about three times faster than paperwork from elsewhere. Not surpisingly, less than month after getting our MP involved our case was completed.
Its funny that your wife has decided not to take out citizenship, I've got the same reservations down here, greater since I started working with the government. I'll never take out citizenship, unless the stock options are really really lucrative! Hell, I'd move back home in a heartbeat given my druthers. Canada is the greatest country in the world, even if the government is corrupt (you don't even KNOW what corruption is!).

This clip is from Iranian TV, but it just goes to show how indoctrinated hate can become.

Yeah, they sure do hate israel. Which makes me believe that its a palestinian made clip, but aired on Iranian TV. I'm pretty sure i'd be WWIII if there were israeli's on Iranian soil.
Interesting 10 minutes.

Tolerance and freedom is one of the reasons people come over. It's not for a free ride in most cases.
And to address the language issue:
Oh, and my wife, who obtained landed immigrant status (she will never have Canadian as she would have to renounce her Japanese citizenship) never once had any service provided for her in Japanese at any step of the way. The legal system provides this, but not immigration from my experience.

It's one of a series of cartoons produced by Iranian TV for Iranian children:

I suppose the obvious alternative is 'Thank god not everyone is poisoned by right-wing hate-mongering'. Shouldn't you be busy crusading against Islam?

Hate-mongering, thats too funny. If I disagree with something, does that mean I am a hate-monger? If you say so, not everyone can be all fuzzy and fluffy like you. It is easy to always pick the "pretty alternative" and label everyone else a hate-monger.

Er... my post was sarcasm, based on the unwarranted labelling in your original statement. I mirrored your dumbass sentence, and flipped it. Sounds pretty stupid and ignorant, doesn't it?

I beg your pardon, but this is not nearly the same thing "flipped". Political correctness is a part of leftist doctrine. Labeling right wingers as hate mongers is simply an invective.

Hmm... I guess what you call 'political correctness' I call 'respect and tolerance'. I realize you don't value either (as per many of your recent comments), but your generalization/smear of a an entire 'political side' in a negative way is, as I said, stupid and ignorant. The Left is as Politically Correct as the Right is Intolerant and Bigoted. Both statements are false. There are _plenty_ of lefties who don't have an inch of political correctness in their bodies (rioters against WTO come to my mind).
These days you seem to be sourcing your statements a whole lot less, and just spouting out useless opinion as if it were gospel.
That's what I like about your position, I don't have to argue with you, your marginalize yourself!
