I thought it was a leftie/rightie deal with Meloche, although given the number of callups since, that doesn't seem to jive.

Watching Pelletier with his motor and speed, makes me really want to see more guys pulled up that can bring that. Zary would be great.
I would rather watch guys skate their balls off and make a few defensive gaffs then watch old NHLer's dog it and make a few defensive gaffs. Sure, maybe the young guys make more, but I think they also create more opportunities.

I honestly think Pelletier goes to the net better than any of the other forwards on this year's team.
Almost 100% of the time he drives there.
Tkachuk certainly did that ... I think Mangiapane can for sure. But the rest are 50/50 at best.

He's going just to sit in the crowd and heckle them for not having any Stanley Cup rings.

I know its appropriate cap management but it must be quite the salary jolt for the players going down.
On the other hand, there’s no travel to California just to report.

It's been one of thr missing ingredients that guy who goes to the net or camps out around the goalie Tkachuk was great at that.
Might by why some chances don't get finished not near the net enough.

He's scouting the prospects to see which ones are most fit to help him with the Spring Harvest.

I think Coleman and Lindholm do sometimes.
But for sure this year everyone wants to hang back and work the tic tac toe passing play and they dead end the rush. Pelletier has been great at being predictable.
I think it’s 50-50 if Pelletier is back after the break. Some will lose their noodle about it but his waiver status and the flames being healthy up front will make that easy and they may want to try zary or another prospect before the deadline. Or may want to see where Ritchie or Rooney are at.

“To the Flames?”
“No. To Viking.”

Rooney has 6 points in 19 games with the Wranglers. He is 13th in PPG amongst forwards on the Wranglers. Not much more he can do to prove he deserves another chance.

If Pelts is more or less on the big club at the moment, do you play him and risk injury or is that entirely a cap space move with no intention to play him?

And also goes for the direct path and hit on a player in the offensive zone when the puck comes around to his wing and the other gets the puck. Love that.
Modern day, passive wingers have made an art of "acting" like they are aggressively checking when they are really skating hard to an area and then laying up or doing that fake "hit the boards really hard near the player, creating a loud noise" BS because they're afraid/too lazy to throw their body.

I don't mind Ritchie but I'll be happy to never see him play for the Flames again. Give Duehr the spot. Pelletier is a full timer in my mind.
The D drops off dramatically after Stone. Ideally he's the 7th ion the team.
