A Team Without a Core

If you don't have an elite #1 C, a true #1D , and good goaltending you don't really have a core that can sustain consistent success. Whether it was the old group or the new one, the results would have been more or less the same going forward.

That’s how I feel about them. They’ve got 5 or 6 guys they drafted themselves. The rest are all FAs.

It’s hard for me to get invested in the team. For whatever reason it’s more exciting to watch the kids get drafted and grow into their roles.
