They probably win that game 99/100 times. Combo of bad luck, good goaltending, and a lack of finish.

No finish and second best goalie on the night. Flames season in a nutshell.

Huberdeau was brilliant tonight for all the crying about his point total he set up 2 empty nets missed one himself and Backlund hit a post. That's a 4 point night.

Markstrom was great.

Oilers are pathetic and the refs might the worst in pro sports.

The Oilers only method of winning is to score on the PP, and Mangi holds Nurse blatantly for an eternity tied in the 3rd period. Brilliant.

You know it's a dumb penalty when Nurse was shaking his head at how obvious it was.

Flames curb stomped the Oilers. Absolutely curb stomped them. Refs did their job and kept a Mcdavid in it. Embarrassing by the league.

Just not enough talent. Plain and simple. 3 wins in last 5 games, with both losses being against the only playoff teams.

League favors the Oilers

Dominate an entire game and get one PP including an egregious miss near the end

That is how you play and beat the Oilers. Not that cluster f*** we saw in the playoffs.

Just sucks the team has been so mediocre all year. Need to play like this rest of the year to make the playoffs.

You knew the power plays were going to be Flames -2, Oilers 0. Some sum of that. Given that, I thought they played pretty well.

Alot of shots but not many quality shots.

It doesn't help that once again the officials let the Oilers do whatever they want. If the Flames were winning 2-1 no doubt they would have got multiple powerplays and probably a 5 on 3 to try and tie it.

After that game, I would be happy if Kelly Hrudy never called another game. He was insufferable tonight. Give me Greg Millen. Mangipane is the goat tonight, what a moronic play, but how did the refs call nothing against the Oilers? This outcome was so utterly predictable.

Forgot which hockey person said this, but someone once said that it's not necessarily a good sign if you outshoot the opponent badly but still lose, it may just mean you don't have many guys who can score lol

Refs just suck, it's not rigged. But to see 2 missed calls in the last 4 minutes of play against the Flames, when they were already down 3-1 in powerplay opportunities in a league that tries to balance it out as much as possible is .. well .. not a good feeling

They also lost a step after going down 2-1 .. they were controlling the play and then lost motiviation or something.. wasn't the same team as before that

if the Flames got calls as easily as the Oilers did this probably is not a regulation L

not to say those were not penalties, they were. the Flames just didn't get reffed by the same standard

par for this ****y season
