Would be more concerned about it being a trap game if they had won on Saturday. But I would imagine they are raring to go tonight, with only 2 games and 1 W in the last week.

The bigger concern, IMO, is being flat, dure to the lack of games

it's great to have zero concerns when the backup gets the net

Why do that to Markstrom? Goal is to build his confidence, not destroy it. There isn’t a tandem in Calgary. It’s a starter and a back up.

I predict we will see two scraps tonight.

Sutter isn't doing anything to Markstrom. He proclaimed Vladar would likely start once a week this season.

I don't think his confidence is as shot as some might think. Regardless of what happened on the second goal he played pretty well.

If Sutter's goal is to try and give Vladar a start a week this is a good game to do it.

The bottom 6 should always be on their toes where if they don't play well they might get scratched.

I think he was replying to that above comment saying they should give the net to whoever preforms better & let them run with it

It's more than a trap game ... Seattle has been playing solid five on five hockey but aren't getting the goaltending.

They have better underlying numbers than the Flames pretty much across the board.

6th in xgf%
6th in xGA60

20th in shooting percentage
19th in save percentage

They wouldn't have those numbers with the Flames opponents though...they have played the Ducks, Canucks, and Hawks. Calgary hasn't played any bottom feeders
That being said they beat the Pens and Avs so don't take them lightly

Perfect opportunity for some of our top scorers to build some confidence.

On the other hand it seems like it always works out that a game against Calgary is a perfect opportunity for someone to break a slump... I'm sure fans of all teams feel the same way about their own teams though.
