The Sabres are all over the sloppy 'Hawks. piling up shots, outshooting 23-12. But the 'Hawks generate a couple of scramble chances and both end up in the Blade net. 3-1, 'Hawks in the 2nd.

'Hawks have started Rook, Arvid Soderblom in net, his 1st ever road start (only 3rd start overall).

Kings are all over the Leafs, Toronto looking unimpressive again

Caulfield reminds me a lot of Matthew Phillips. The size, the tenacity, the on-ice awareness...also getting bumped off the puck relatively easily. The Flames really need to give Phillips a chance

The Habs lead 4-3 after forty minutes in this offensive charged game.

The Habs were down 3-1 and then scored three goals in under five minutes to retake the lead.

The Avalanche wake up and lead 3-0 over the Islanders.

Leafs are completely hooped with their goaltending situation being what it is.

I have no idea how the Flyers & Hawks keep winning. Neither team was expected to do anything this year.

I really hope that the 'Hawks Max Domi gets hammered with a fine for diving. I hate to see that kind of BS, even if it gets my team an undeserved PP. In this case, Dahlin waved at a puck that was bouncing high. He got his blade near Domi's chin, but clearly, missed. Domi's head snap was brutal.

Karma is served, as the Blades kill the penalty, and tie the game late.

I absolutely agree with this. I have always been proud of being a hockey fan as most players have enough respect not to dive. It seems to be getting worse as time goes on. In soccer it is now part of the game, almost a strategy. If refs would start to call diving more even if they are wrong it would really make the players think twice.

As a college soccer fullback, I made it a point to "accidentally" step on anyone that went down near me, as I was defending!

In the game, sloppy puck management, just like against the Oil the other night, and the 'Hawks cough up late goals, losing early in OT. 4-3

What are you talking about? Sammy has been the only bright spot so far. Well, him and JT. Leafs should be losing by at least 4 goals most nights. Their offense is anemic and their defence is pathetic.

The Habs showed off their offense,
7-4 victory!

The stinkin' Leafs lost, good to see especially with the Kings having to sacrifice a prime time start.

The Leafs don't have a #1 goaltender in their organization. Samsonov is playing relatively well in the early going of the season but that bubble will pop at some point. With the level of talent on the team, the team as a whole will rebound and start playing much better at some point. But, in the end, they just don't have the goaltending to win in the playoffs.

The Islanders came back from a 3-0 deficit in the 2nd period to win 5-4 in reg time! Looking at the penalty summary, 3 of the 6 penalties were for cross checking. Don't see that too often.

Darcy Kuemper makes 34 saves for the SHUTOUT in the Capitals 3-0 win over Nashville. Both teams were perfect on the PK with the Capitals going 5/5.

The Red Wings squeak out a 2-1 win in reg time over the Wild. The Wild out shot Detroit 10-1 in the 3rd period. Raymond scored both goals and Larkin getting 2 assists.

The Penguins lose all 4 games on their road trip. The Kraken beat them 3-1.

The Lightning strike with 57 seconds left in reg time to win 4-3. Kucherov scored the GWG. Karlsson with 2 goals in the Sharks loss.

Heart breaker for the Flyers as the Hurricanes tie it up with 2 minutes left in reg time and then Burns scores the GWG with 54 seconds left in OT. Carolina was 0/4 on the PP, but, were 5/6 on the PK.
