I mean, assuming you're driving the speed limit and really limiting your time in each spot, not sure this is really true. Would be a totally ridiculous day, too.

I have done this day. Drove from Edmonton to Drumheller, stayed overnight. Woke up, did the museum first thing, drove to calgary for lunch (steak), then to the mountains for the next couple of days. So not quite that order, but breakfast in the badlands, steak in the prairies for lunch, then quiet evening in the mountains. Totally achievable and not that crazy.

Good to see some of the lesser known places highlighted in the article. We highly recommend people come off peak if BNP and it's views are what they're after.

You know, unlike BC we're not all vassals of China where we just make Cities whenever we're told.

Which one? The one that pumps their waste into the Ocean while bitching about the rest of the world being less good than them?

Alberta needs two more mountain cities. I think one near Peter Lougheed provincial park (like right at Highwood Junction for instance) and one close to Abraham Lake would be perfect candidates and could help alleviate Banff (and now Jasper) traffic issues.

Vancouver and Victoria are also not interesting.

Vancouver is certainly more interesting than Whistler. Victoria is interesting for about 2 days maximum.
There are, however, dozens of fantastic islands along the coast that you could spend months (or really an indefinite amount of time) on and never get tired of.

Rattlesnakes everywhere.
My dad grew up near there. Stepped on a rattlesnake almost daily. Not sure how he nor any of my aunts and uncles ever avoided being bitten.

The only thing that keeps BC even mildly interesting is that it takes forever to get anywhere.

It's pretty cool to drive all over Vancouver Island IMO but I don't get the Vancouver hype at all.

There is #### all out by Abraham. No real reason to build a town

I would nominate that the Crowsnest Pass (Blairmore, Coleman, Frank) could be this next mountain city. So much potential, if the constant threat of new coal mines didn't derail and discourage investment.
If someone built a 1st class ski resort / golf resort out there it would do what Panorama did for Invermere. (Fernie and Castle are a little too far away)

Writing on Stone is great. Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump is spectacular IMHO, when the weather is clear the view is stunning.

Nope. Too windy and not enough snow.

The indigenous tourism angle is neat. I visited the Indigenous People's Experience while up in Edmonton (ughh, I know) a few months back and it completely blew me away.
Indigenous Tourism Alberta covers a lot more of these types of experiences where indigenous people are sharing their own stories -- will be neat to see where these businesses are in a few years, hope they can capitalize on the publicity.
