Yes... but thinking more about my post and yours.... I think I have figured it out.... we're not thinking like greasers... they are just comparing Draisaitl to McDavid (you know - the center of their world) and when doing that, Draisaitl is definitely a defensive center.

Well, of course. Draisaitl has to be the best in the world at something because he's an Oiler. They'll never admit he's not really a centre, and McDavid has to be the best offensive centre, so what else is there for Draisaitl to be?

It's good though, let everyone take him lightly and get burned!

Nurse ranks higher than Hamilton and Slavin? (Not to mention Weegar but at least that’s understandable since he’s newer to the party) What the hell.

I haven't look at the list yet. Please tell me, if McDavid and Draisaitle are ranked 1st and 1(a)'th?

I'm going to be interested in seeing rankings next year, after a full season of eastern media actually watching Gaudreau and Tkachuk play.

I’m sure they’ll get their counting stats. Of course their teams won’t get anywhere in the playoffs but it’s clear these rankings don’t care about that.

These rankings are always about reputation.
I mean, the only San Jose Shark on the list is Tomas Hertl, whom they describe as ‘their top-line centre of the future’ when he's already 28. Whereas they don't even mention the Sharks' best player this season. He may be only a rookie, but he's set a tone for the whole team: Owen Fife.

Is Tkachuk the most overrated player in the league now? Yes.
