Solovyov doesn't look too bad either. Sharp defender with a good stick who is playing the body when needed. Pure stay at home defenseman, but that's okay.

The people making it seem like he was a terrible skater in the trade thread were weird

And that period shows you why you don't just trade Weegar if he's not signed. I don't think we have had a dman like that.

Does anyone have the youtube link for the game? The Flames always unlist it and the website feed blows.

Kadri - looks really good out there. I wonder if Sutter will get after him about taking skates while on the forecheck. Looked really skilled on the PP.

Huberdeau - I am already worried about fans whining about him missing on high risk passes. He is the most skilled guy on the ice, but the intensity is about par for early preseason.

Weegar - made one good rush and got open for a spot one time but missed it. Looks okay, although I don't see what would make him the Flames top D quite yet.

Ryan Dittrick posted here and said the NHL doesn't allow them to stream the games on social media like youtube and twitter.

The only reason it was on youtube for the split squad games was because they were having issues with the NHL's new streaming software.
