Its funny as he is the man that managed over a crumbling country and had no choice but to try to make peace as Ronald Reagan spent the Soviet Union into the grave.

At the end for all of his moves to cool and fix East West relations, in the end we were stuck with basically a collection of failed states.

I mean I think his legacy is stronger then that no?

The populations of the Baltic states, east Germany and others arguably have a way better life today because of this man.

I am playing my actual copy of Ganbare Gorby in which a young Gorbachev is tasked with raiding Soviet factories to bring goods to the people (along with Glasnost and Perestroika).

With all due respect, did Gorby tear down the wall? I think that is selling the spirit of the German people short.

There was chaos in the USSR and his attention was there. The Germans saw their political opportunity and seized it. It's unfair to give all the credit to Gorbachev.
