Season ticket prices, divided by 41, are still lower than face

Being able to sell for face is of course, an entirely different conversation

Personally I love preseason games. Get to see prospects and guys battling for a spot.

Good to know. I bought a portion of a season this year.

Can I use the “it’s really 1/41 rather than 1/45” argument when I submit for business expenses though?

Do other STH have the pre-season (and/or all games) in their account yet? I'd like to sell my pre-season seats but there is nothing under manage tickets in my account. I thought for sure they were usually available by now. What do other folks' accounts show?

Really the Flames should drop prices of concession and tickets super low for preseason and try to attract some new fans to the game and team

But that would mean someone had to take a chance and risk some historical trend pre season revenue

Just means that that cost of preseason tickets (where the games don't matter, the team isn't fully formed, and demand is at a fraction of the demand) cost just as much as regular season tickets, where the games actually matter.

Years ago, the Leafs excluded a pre-season game from the full season ticket package and gave away every ticket for free. I thought it was a great promotion but they only did it one time as far as I know.

Nothing in mine either yet. Was wondering if something was up! Expect they will land soon.

I don't think there is anything wrong with that as long as you don't submit the preseason games you may use for business. Be consistent in other words. As long as you place zero value on the preseason games, I think it's fair.

Just got an email saying tickets have now been uploaded.

In past years, when my sons were 4 or 5 years old, I would take them to see the warm up and 1st period. By the 1st intermission they were unable to sit still and they were ready to head home. We'd try to find Harvey on the concourse before heading to the car, and they were asleep within 5 minutes of driving without any traffic issues to contend with.

Kids Up Front is a great place to donate your unwanted pre-season tickets.

Thank you so much to FlamesGimp!

I have four boys and he gave me two pairs of tickets to a Flames preseason game free of charge. So I get to take my 13 year old to one game and my 6 year old to another. Both are going to be so excited. Flames games are out of the budget for this family of six so these tickets are so appreciated.

He also gave my brother a pair. My brother is a quadriplegic so the wheelchair section is perfect for him.

Thanks again FlamesGimp. You are the BEST!

Kids may be more savvy today, but when I was a kid, we didn’t have much money. My first Flames game was a pre-season game. I didn’t care, I only found out I was going on game day and it is still one of my life’s most treasured memories.

Yup, kids don't care that it's pre-season, it's still a chance to go to the Dome and see their heroes.

And pre-season is actually better for kids in the sense that there are tons of kids at those games and they can really enjoy themselves without having to sit in their chair and behave all game

I must be in the minority of STH in that I don't mind pre-season at all. Regardless that the first game is a split squad, I still get excited coming through the doors and heading to my seats for that first time in a long time. Usually during the preseason I'll do a round on the concourse to see what is new.

Haha, I never thought of the behaviour thing! I embarrassed the hell out of my Uncle at Large (think it’s Big Brothers now) when I saw Jim Peplinski who wasn’t playing while he was walking about I’m our section.

I couldn’t believe it and shouted out to him like a lunatic. He smiled and waved at me. Thinking back on it, it was probably a nervous smile.

My first game was a pre-season game against the Penguins.
Had a great time, but I was super disappointed that Mario took exactly one shift and used it to skate around the board before sitting for the rest of the game LOL
