Plenty of idiots and buffoons with loads of followers.
Sort of sad that we consider opinions of those with following more seriously than others. Should be vetting them the same as everybody else / using the same lens of skepticism.

Damn, didn't even notice that. Now I feel like an #######.
lol - no worries, mate - actually made me chuckle.
Not that I feel the need to elaborate, but just to throw it out there:
Upside is a relatively new project I've been toying with, hence the low following at this point (do appreciate the new CPer folloews!), though our initial 2023 NHL Draft rankings getting a lot of viewings. My previous hockey coverage history was as a sportswriter/prospect profiler (term I prefer as not a professional scout, so don't loosely throw that term around) mostly on The Hockey Writers {was known for The Next Ones series, which has been "borrowed" by other media outlets including CHL}. I stepped back from that role 4-5 yrs ago as it went from a passionate hobby to feeling like a second job. (I also discovered the addiction of mountain biking at that time, so had less time to properly dedicate to it that I felt needed to do a decent job).
I've had media passes for World Junior Championships, the Hitmen, and Flames-Habs outdoor game in the past.
Between my friend/colleague who's helping on Upside Hockey, we have a couple of decades of covering hockey formally (with emphasis on prospects and the draft - and dare I say a pretty darn respectable track record in doing so - for example, not sure how much weight this carries but for our 2022 NHL draft rankings, we got 30/32 of the 1st rnders; TSN's Bobby Margarita got 29/32 ; ) --of course, that's a highly inaccurate way to measure rankings effectiveness, but a decent proxy for now. 2 of the lads who fell out of the 1st rnd were Russian.).
But all of that really doesn't mean much either I suppose - I'm always open to constructive criticism - my line of thinking especially with respect to hockey and in general is to stay open and stay curious. When presented with better intel, be willing to change opinion on what I previously thought to be true.
