I wonder whether Sweden has the equivalent to Canada's MAID program and he was able to go out on his own timeframe. I sure hope so.

Very sad, watching him at the ceremony, I would not have guessed the end would come so soon. I'm so glad he was able to be there and participate, and hopefully feel the love.

Börje Salming was a superstar during my earliest memories of the game. A player if you were lucky enough to have seen, you never forget - especially with that helmet!

I was really sorry to find he had this wretched disease and now again that he has passed. A true star of the game, but more importantly, he just seemed to be a genuinely nice person.

Wow. He was just on TV the other day. I knew he was struggling with ALS. But that was fast.

That’s what I was wondering as well since it was so soon after the HHOF ceremony.

I can't believe how quickly that progressed. What a remarkably derermined and gutsy fight from Borje to keep going right til the very end like that. RIP to a bonafide legend.
