They say he skates well for a big man. The only footage I’ve seen was several clips from his time in the USHL, and he was quick in spurts-he just didn’t move his feet nearly enough, too much gliding.

When you hear him talk, he also mentions that his size and length of his stick gives him a natural advantage at defending and puck protection, so he knows what strengths he needs to play to. He talks about liking to help the defensemen. Some scouts say he has untapped skill as well. Plus, he isn't afraid to drop them.
He could end up being a great shut down and PK guy, but he also produced OK at lower levels.

For players 21 and under in the Czech League, Klapka ranked 4th with 18 points in 44 games. His 72 PIM were first in the entire league by a wide margin; the next highest was 49 PIM.
