Yup, every team that ever signs a player for its AHL team should be burning its roster to the ground.

I hated when the Bulldogs played against him, great signing

I didn't have my glasses on and at first thought we had signed Jon Bones Jones from the UFC.

I like all these tweener signings.
The Flames had one of the top AHL teams last year and it was wasted on Stockton.
Now that they're moving the team to Calgary it's nice to see that they are still working to keep it a very talented team, while at the same time they'll have some solid prospects on the team developing.

Alot of people salty about these minor signing but they are more than necessary.
You need to build a winning culture and that starts from the farm. Gawdin, Kirkland, Froese, Philp are all gone which leaves big holes to fill.
Also they are likely to lose both Ruzicka and Pelletier.
The farm is going to need a significant amount of talent if they hope to repeat the recent success.

As long as we don’t use draft picks!

I was just going to write this down, just not as eloquently.

I mean, we all salivate over Jakob Pelletier who is 21 years old and had 27 goals in the AHL last year.
Jones is 23 years old and had 25 goals last year in the AHL. Doesn't seem like a bad guy to have in the pipeline!

Definitely has a Gawdin replacement vibe to him. One thing I will say about the signings so far, Calgary is going to have a good AHL team to watch. Going to be a nice blend of AHL vets and some kids with promise.
