Since when is 6'2 180 pounds big? Seems to be just above average nhl'er height and average weight.

looks to be more of a playmaker judging by the goals to assists ratio

I'm sure the Flames think the upside is higher and that's all that matters here. Not the opinions of guys who can't get real hockey jobs.

Hockey News says he's easily projectable as a 4th liner due to his two-way ability, but they add that scouts question if there's more due to glimpses of offense, plus improvement as the year went on.

Decent stats, good size, not a bad pick.

I expect probably all 4 of the players picked immediately after him will be more impactful though.
