Wow that's way too young. He was just in Montreal for the draft this weekend, so really unexpected too. Thoughts with Mason and the rest of the family.

Shocked, he is basically the same age as me, feel for his family.

It’s shocking and a terrible loss for family and friends. It doesn’t seem that long ago that he was playing.

I’m getting older when even though people might be older than me, they are close enough.

Rest In Peace.

Very shortly after 05/06 and the installation of Darryl as GM, there was the acquisition of Bryan Marchment, on the down swing and still not exactly the cleanest of players.

This was followed by the signing of Todd Bertuzzi post Dominic Moore, a couple seasons later, and there was much consternation among denizens of Calgary Puck. I wonder if there were some lower bowl ticket holders that gave up seats because the team was headed to bad boys of the NHL territory.

I mean winnings fun and all, and everybody loves winning, but I think the spark that's missing is that whole hating to lose attitude. Which in itself is pretty problematic, however after looking back on those teams, maybe having more players with suspensions would result in an extra playoff round win or 2.

Also RIP Mush. Even if they did defang you in the season here, there were still enough other tools in the toolbox to make an effective D.

This is going to hit Big D Sutter hard along with others of course. I will never forget when Darryl called Rhett on the Fan960 to say goodbye and congratulate him on St Patricks Day on Rhett's last day he mentioned 3 players that were reliable and some of his favorites he coached were Rhett, Matt Greene and Marchment. Rhett asked him how Mush was doing and Darryl mentioned how he keeps in touch and texts and talks to Marchment all the time. Said Mush was doing well, so proud of his boys.
