Priti Patel is reportedly visiting No. 10 right now. Game over for Boris.

Her quitting wouldn't be such a big loss, from what I've read - she's sketchy.

I also saw the Labour leader is promising to resign if the police fine him for breaking covid rules and that decision is supposed to come down this week. Good ole Brits and Americans always up for making our politics seems normal.
Johnson is refusing to go, his party hates him (always have) they are trying to push him out the window but he is clinging on to the curtains and threatening to call an election that would destroy the party, he has so few ministers now the actual function of Government has shut down, meetings and committees are being cancelled due to the lack of members because they have all resigned, Prime Ministers Question Time today consisted of his own MP's asking him under what circumstances a PM should resign, its an absolute crap show

He has now sacked Michael Gove, his right hand man during the Brexschitt Referendum.
The man is now so clearly high up the nuts scale, he makes Trump seem balanced.
I cannot ####ing believe how insane UK politics has become. Half the Tory party are sex offenders and the other half are corrupt and incompetent.
Then there are those smack in the middle of the Venn diagram.
And would it really shock you if they won re-election again despite all of this. I know the polls have them behind but they are like the Liberals in Canada in that they can trail polls but as soon as an election is called - they end up being competitive again.

It wouldn’t surprise me at all.
The Liberals have plumbed the depths, but this is on a whole different level.
I must admit it is kind of nice to watch a country other than the US soil itself and root its hands around in their underpants for a bit.
So what happens next? Elections or Johnson becomes a dictator or how does this all work. If he refuses to resign is this another instance of us all finding out another government functions entirely on the honour system?

I must admit, I do love the 'Refuse to Resign' bit.
Boris Johnson right now is going Full-On 'George Costanza @ PlayNow.'

in about a weeks time the Tory Party will rewrite their rules on when they can pick a party leader, about 5 minutes later Johnson will be dumped as the Tory Party leader and at that point he legally ceases to be the PM, if he refuses to go after that the coppers go in and arrest him

The PM serves at the Sovereign's pleasure so the only way Johnson leaves is he voluntarily resigns with or without a motion of no-confidence from Parliament or the Queen dismisses him.
