I actually think the Jets build and develop really well. They've always just lacked a good coach that can get the most out of the team as a whole, which is really wasting the prime years of their core. They're deep down the middle, have game breaking wingers, and have a pretty solid back end, plus a solid number one goalie.

Let's face it, he wasn't left to mop up, but to turn the lights off when everyone checked out. He's been on that staff far too long to be any part of a new regime. If the Jets' players tuned Maurice out, were they ever going to listen to Maurice's second banana?

I agree he deserves another shot, but it will have to be somewhere else.
