I don't have much to add. It's a clear mismatch on paper, but the Predators are scrappy. Obviously, if Saros were in net I'd give them a much better chance of winning, but without him I just don't see it, all respect to Rittich and Ingram.

Now, watch this turn into Columbus vs. Tampa Bay from a couple years ago and it becomes a 4 game sweep for Nashvile.

Avs in four. Not because they are some massive juggernaut, but because Nashville has no goaltending. I think the series could be played pretty even, but the lack of NHL goaltending is going to kill the Preds. Unless Rittich becomes a wall, this series is pretty much finished before it starts.

I think the Avs will win this series. However, playoffs are won on team boundedness and emotion. I can see Preds players coming together in a big way after losing their #1 goalie.

This is what you get for blowing a 4-0 lead to the Coyotes..

Honestly the Preds should just pull the goalie now and go for it. Absolutely nothing to lose.

Neither team going into the playoffs particularly strong but unless Sarros has a miracle comeback this will be a walk for the Avs. 8 days indeed.

Avs in 4

You never know how a best-of-seven could unfold. Injuries + another Kadri suspension could make it a series. Or not.

Avs in 4 games. I have zero faith in Rittich and wouldn't be surprised if Ingram finishes the series.

Avs in 4-5.

Nashville losing Saros is a huge blow.

I think this is the season Colorado goes to at least the finals.

Sweep.
Playoff mode Mackinnon & Makar are going to destroy them.

Avs in 5. I would say a sweep but Nashville will grind out a win for Saros!

No sweep. Avs are good but they'll lose at least 1.

To be honest if the Avs don't destroy whoever they face THIS YEAR they don't deserve a cup.

In years past some mighty teams have fallen and I'm already looking at upsets ....will this series be that series?
Go Preds

So i was curious as to how poorly Rittich has been playing exactly and went back to Jan. 1 of last year.

Since that time...

60 NHL G's have played in 35 or more NHL games.

Among those...

Rittich is 59th in save% and wins, and 51st in GAA.

Yikes.

Preds should feel embarrassed for blowing a 4-0 lead to end up as WC2. It’s like they’ve already given up with Saros injured.
